Well, after many long years of searching for the album my sister and I grew up with ingrained in our memories and hearts, she tipped me off to your website... and at long last I will hear those songs again, and you won't be able to wipe the smile off my face for days! Thanks for the wonderful memories you have created with your endless talents for harmonizing and one of a kind sound. In my neighborhood, I am fortunate enough to have a few greeks around me, and we enjoy sharing the spanekopeta and galactoboureko that I make (the best!) - I can't wait to play Trio Bel Canto "In Greece" and watch their faces! Chuck, thanks for your lightning quick responses to my emails... the fastest response I have ever experienced on the web! Then again, did I expect any less? You're Greek! OPA! God Bless.

To the entire Trio Bel Canto family, what a flood of nostalgic memories! I can remember my father playing an 8-track copy of "Command Performance" in his 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix. I was 15, and I could tell you the next song before it started, and what key it was in! Now I play in a strong Greek folk band in Florida, Odyssey. We will add the song "Zilevo, Zilevo" because I love the vocal harmonies and the bouzoukee harmonies. Music has given me the passion to endure the pain of dental school, where I was forced to live away from my family and my fiance. You guys inspired me to continue playing the accordion when I lost interest in classical concertos. Greek dance music still lives. Avanta maestro! Great job on the web site. As for the records, you have given us kefi to get up and dance at holidays, countless namedays, picnics with Greek chicken and souvlakia. Wherever Greeks have gathered, your music brings smiles from grandparents to grandchildren. What a legacy.

What a wonderful surprise when I ran across your webpage by accident. The photographs brought back a flood of memories of my early teenage years and of the Sons of Pericles, GOYA and the Catskills. I took one of your albums with me when I left for military service during Viet Nam. For four years I had that piece of home with me, and never tired of listening. Thank you for your talent and your music, and I wish you all many years of continued success.

From a young boy, I remember listening, singing and dancing around the living room together with my family, to the music of the Trio Bel Canto. We didn't go anywhere without our "Trio" music. But my life was forever changed when as a teenager (of 17 yrs.), I was lucky enough to be in the audience, witness to a live performance of the band when they were brought out to Portland Oregon in 1973. It was an enchanted evening, even though Micheal Matheos's voice was no longer in the mix. The music was superb and Angelo's and John's voices were to me like angels singing. I was so moved, that I then and there decided that I had to be able to play and sing just like them. To perhaps someday, give to someone else what you have given to me. God has truly blessed you. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your gifts with all of us-all these years. Hronia Polla! Respectfully, Peter George Macris

I just want to say, that I think this web-page is the greatest form of information that you have given about your band over the years. As 42 year old first generation Greek here in the US, I have enjoyed your music over the years. I would still play them to this day over and over again.. Your music brings me back so much memories abuot my father and his friends, who use to enjoy listening to you. In fact, He would remember when your band played the Riveria in Sullivan county many years ago with Micos Gournaris, who I also admire listening to. I'm so happy that you created this web-site. I always wondered about your past. Could you please answer me a question? Could you please tell me, what ever happened to your FIRST Bouzouki player. To me, he was the epitomy of a bouzouki player. Is he still around?? PLease feel free to respond. Sincerely, Panayoutis Diakopoulos

I have thoroughly enjoyed this nostalgic trip through time. I grew up with my mother playing the Trio songs on her stereo daily. I was greatley influenced by the harmonies and the approach that made the Trio the "American Beatles.. They turned the classic Greek songs into melodic three part harmonies of love and warmth !!!!

I too, have the fondest memories of the "Trio" from a young age. Your music was, and remains inimitable, the very BEST! No group has ever come even close to your magnificent voices and PERFECT harmony. Whenever we heard that you were playing at a local dance, we'd go running! At home, I'd play your albums over and over and over again so that I could learn every word to each song! Your music was always the hit of every family gathering, providing the very best dance medleys. Before the days of d.j's, I'd take your albums to parties, Baptisms, and GOYA Dances. It was a sure-fire way to get everyone up dancing; noone could stay seated during a "Trio" song. Thanks for the memories. And thanks to Paul Kombitsis for developing this exceptional Website.
